Symposium Scope

The symposium will focus on the advanced experimental and computational methods for conjugated molecules and bioinspired materials, as well as their self-assembly and their applications as activated elements in semiconducting devices such as OPV, FET, OLED, and sensing.

This symposium is highly interdisciplinary and crosses the boundaries of materials science, chemistry, biology and nanotechnology, and will address fundamental questions as well as applications.

Topics to be address include (but are not limited to):

  • Functional conjugated molecules/supramolecular materials
  • Bioinspired materials and applications
  • Semiconducting devices (OLED, OPV, FET et al)
  • Theory, modelling, and simulation of molecules and bioinspired materials
  • Chemical and biochemical sensing
  • Self-assembly and self-organization
  • 2D materials and composites
  • Synthetic methodology
  • Advanced nanopatterning techniques for molecules and bioinspired materials
